Description

Nintendo's hit strategy-RPG Fire Emblem series, which has been going strong for more than 25 years, continues its journey on smart devices. Fight battles customized for touch screens and on-the-go play. Summon characters from across the Fire Emblem universe. Develop your Heroes' skills, and take them to new heights. This is your adventure—a Fire Emblem that's like nothing you've seen before! This application is free to download and offers some optional in-app purchases. ■ An epic quest The game features an ongoing, original story where new characters and dozens upon dozens of battle-tested Heroes from across the Fire Emblem universe meet. There are over 700 story stages available as of February 2019! (This total includes all difficulty modes.) Clear these story stages and you'll earn Orbs, which are used for summoning Heroes. New story chapters are added frequently, so don't miss out! ■ Intense battles Take part in strategic turn-based battles streamlined for on-the-go play with maps that fit in the palm of your hand! You'll need to think hard about the advantages and disadvantages of each Hero's weapon...and even evaluate the map itself as you battle. Lead your army with easy touch-and-drag controls, including the ability to attack by simply swiping an ally over an enemy. New to strategic turn-based battles? Don't worry! Use the Auto-Battle option to have your characters fight on their own. ■ Strengthen your favorite Heroes There are many ways to strengthen your allies: leveling, skills, weapons, equipable items, and more. Take your characters to greater and greater heights as you battle for victory. ■ Replayable modes In addition to the main story, there are many other modes where you can strengthen your allies, compete against other players, and more. ■ Original characters meet legendary Heroes The game features numerous Hero characters from the Fire Emblem series and brand-new characters created by artists Yusuke Kozaki and Shigeki Maeshima. Some Heroes will fight at your side as allies, while others may stand in your way as fierce enemies to be defeated and added to your army. * Internet connectivity required to play. • Simple but fun!

Not bad, about as good looking as any handheld FE, but not as deep. Essentially FELite, and that’s perfect for a mobile version...

Ever since launch I enjoyed collecting heroes for the game on a casual basis, but as the game’s initial premise of simplified fire emblem was left in the dust I have had mixed enjoyment with the game. The introduction of new game modes and heroes with skills into the game has brought tons of criticism with the game, from favorability towards whales to poor fixes and changes to game modes that have been left in the dust in favor of trying out new content.

I’ve been a dedicated player since the beginning of the game, and I have to say I’m saddened by the path that Intelligent Systems has followed. In the last couple of updates, we’ve seen a HUGE decrease in the number of orbs we’re getting. Monthly quests don’t give as many orbs (we’ve lost those for defeating certain opponents and for completing certain chapters), tap battles no longer give ANY, and no special quests for orbs. It’s ridiculous. Additionally, we’ve been told about the CYL 3 heroes for more than a month and there’s still no more information on their release? Why haven’t we had a new wave of GHB units with quests?
  • Trading maybe or more orbs?

Well. People in your friends list might want to trade a unit they have for yours and vise versa. Or just more orbs to earn in game because we blow a ton before there is none left and are left with trying to buy orbs
  • Fanservice: Since when has Fire Emblem become so sexualized?

I love the DS games, but it seems all the swimsuit, bunny, and wedding summoning events just seem to loose the point of fire emblem. There was always some girls in skimpy outfits like Nowi and Tharja, and there was always big breasted characters like Camilla and Kagero... But they had full fledged personalities. Now it seems like this app is just fan service. The focus of this app has slowly shifted to just collect sexy ladies. This doesn’t feel like the Nintendo family friendly game anymore. It’s fun... but makes me too uncomfortable to play anymore.

Although it was the most grossing game at the time, Fire Emblem Heroes took a big downfall over the years. The currency (Orbs) are rarely given, this game rely on players emptying their wallets in order to have fun. These past month, Fire Emblem Heroes sneakily took away monthly Orbs and took Orbs away from one monthly event called “Tap Battle”, making it so players have to open their wallets to get whatever character they really like. The PvP challenges are absolutely bonkers, with whales (people who pay an ungodly amount of cash) and the armored units. So if you are interested in this game, you better urge not to open your wallet!

This is definitely a fun game. It allows you to play casually, or attempt to play more seriously and climb up in the rankings. There are many characters in this game that all have different playstyles. There are many different events, monthly updates, and tons of freedom when creating builds. There is a ton of free stuff for new players, and old players can still play the game without worrying about running out of resources. So why isn’t this a 5 star rating? It is because there isn’t much to do after you get to a certain point in the game, whether you spend money on it, or stay completely free-to-play. Without many actual “competitive” modes, the game doesn’t seem to keep people interested in the game after they get everything they wanted. Once your favorite character is completely built, there isn’t much you can actually do with them. There is also a lot of powercreep, which can make many of the characters you own completely useless. Overall, the game is incredibly fun, and I would give it a try. However, a lack of competitive modes and powercreep may force people to quit playing this game once they have reached a certain point.

I’ve played this game since launch and I’ve always loved it, this is also the only game I have ever actually given a review to and not for a few extra coins I genuinely love this game
