Description

Join Trainers across the globe who are discovering Pokémon as they explore the world around them. The newest update to Pokémon GO, the global gaming sensation that has been downloaded 650 million times and named “Best Mobile Game” by The Game Developers Choice Awards and “Best App of the Year” by TechCrunch, introduced the addition of over 80 beloved Pokémon among several other new features. Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Pikachu, and many other Pokémon have been discovered! Now’s your chance to discover and capture the Pokémon all around you—so get your shoes on, step outside, and explore the world. You’ll join one of three teams and battle for the prestige and ownership of Gyms with your Pokémon at your side. Pokémon are out there, and you need to find them. As you walk around a neighborhood, your smartphone will vibrate when there’s a Pokémon nearby. Take aim and throw a Poké Ball… You’ll have to stay alert, or it might get away! Search far and wide for Pokémon and items Certain Pokémon appear near their native environment—look for Water-type Pokémon by lakes and oceans. Visit PokéStops, found at interesting places like museums, art installations, historical markers, and monuments, to stock up on Poké Balls and helpful items. Catching, hatching, evolving, and more As you level up, you’ll be able to catch more-powerful Pokémon to complete your Pokédex. You can add to your collection by hatching Pokémon Eggs based on the distances you walk. Help your Pokémon evolve by catching many of the same kind. Choose a Buddy Pokémon to walk with and earn Candy that will help you make your Pokémon stronger. Take on Gym battles and defend your Gym As your Charmander evolves to Charmeleon and then Charizard, you can battle together to defeat a Gym and assign your Pokémon to defend it against all comers. It’s time to get moving—your real-life adventures await! Note: - This app is free-to-play and offers in-game purchases. Really? Level 31 for raids? It also doesn't help that I can't get anything good. Like everyone who lives in California has almost everything. This is why people hack because of the spawns. It also doesn't make sense since I live in a rock biome and I've only gotten FOUR larvitars and some people who live in places that have crap Pokemon don't even have larvitars or dratinis. ALSO Niantic said they increased spawns I watched a video the other day and on the Santa Monica pier it was even better than it was before while I'm out here not even noticing a freaking difference. Also more about the pier they added 2 gyms and out here they haven't added a single one. Thanks niantic. Oh this is why there are so much hackers.

Lots of people are talking about how interesting the new update is. However the PTC authentication has been down for more than two days for me with ZERO feedback/ acknowledgement from N. If you're going to force updates, please make sure they don't break everything.

Again, stop deleting negative reviews! When Pokémon return from Gym, the Journal should also show a text log of how many coins they brought back, because it's now much harder to keep track of that since your new genius redesign of that system. New Gym System. 👎 Can't run/jog and have it register distance to hatch and egg. 👎 (Even if speed limit isn't tripped, it seems the distance tracker for egg hatching isn't registering that distance properly.) Having to feed a Pokémon a 🍇 when placing it in a gym is stupid as 💩. (It should have full CP when placed since it had full CP in inventory.) Speed limits. 👎 No Pokestop XP w/full bag. 👎 New Nearby System. 👎 New Gym System is designed to make players have to pay real money to be able to play successfully. There not enough spots to fill the gym and also maintain it long enough to collect coins in the game. Now you have to actually spend real money to buy them or hope you're lucky enough you're defending a gym that's not going to be taken over. The new design is stupid... and so is the constant feeding required. Game locks up with light blue screen if the game crashes and you start it back up from the app-switcher. On that first start, the game locks up as in the last to previous version where a partial GUI interface comes up and it locks up and doesn't start. Game must be completely quit out and started again to clear it up. Pokedex takes forever to redraw in latest version and it does this every time you open it. Game locks up if you bring up the Pokémon inventory and use the scrolling tool on the right to scroll quickly. The graphics for each Pokémon doesn't draw them quickly enough and the game locks up and won't populate them. You seriously botched the code for both this and the Pokedex screen population and didn't test it at all. GPS drift hasn't been fixed yet. It happens badly if you're the kind of player that texts a lot while playing. Even if you reply to a text in the popup window for iMessage, GPS is still stopped and when you return to the app, you're all over the place on the map. This happens even with just taking a few seconds to reply to the text. If it takes longer, forget it... you're gonna get bounced around bad until GPS relocks on you. Problem is, before your GPS Drift update, when returning to the game, the character wasn't so far off as it is now. I don't think you fixed anything... maybe broke it worse. New Nearby system basically kills off the ability to see what Pokémon are closer than the ones at the pokestops. That's so stupid because if you're far enough away from pokestops where they're still on the map, but nowhere close to you, you have no ability to see what Pokémon are closer now. You're basically just walking around blind trying to find something that may or may not be there. All the pokestop info in Nearby is obstructing the ability to see the closer Pokémon on the radar view. App is slow to start and log in. You need to fix this ASAP!!! Your new update took away the ability to spin and get the 50XP on pokestops even if your bag is full. Ummm, last I checked, the player went through the hassle of getting to a stop and spinning it with your new imposed speed limits. Forcing them now to also have room in their bag to get a measly 50XP is just ridiculous! How cheap can you guys be? Let the gamer have their XP... it's just 50, and it's worth at least that for the hassle of walking by the stop. Also, like I said in my other review that you deleted, the animations for Hydropump don't always work in gyms as you battle. You need to fix that.

My wife and I have been playing since day one. It's our date night of choice. We have especially loved the events. They always give us an opportunity to catch new, and rare Pokémon, we need to finish our dex. We can't wait to try out the new gym raids and catch the raid Pokémon! With that in mind, please increase the Pokémon storage past 1000. We've both had to start getting rid of high stat Pokémon, just to be able to get eggs and catch our daily Pokémon. The new bag increase is appreciated, but we need an increase in Pokémon storage more! Cheers for an awesome game!

The new way of collecting coins when you get kicked out of gyms and the daily cap has not been made clear to players. I'm in rural gyms and nobody has fought them. I need an opponent who is willing to brave our bad reception and walk an hour into the park to knock down the gyms. Instead teammates are feeding berries to my guys. Very frustrating.
  • Update is horrid.

Alright look, this game was great. But this new update? Not loving it. It makes it way too hard and pointless to take a gym, and putting something there? Ha. That'll be gone quick. And guess what you get for that now, 1 pokecoin. At least beforehand if something got taken out fast I could collect the coins. Possibly going to delete this unless the bugs in the gyms (the opponents get two specials one right after the other, and their health glitches and regenerates) are fixed soon. Even then it's possible, it was a nice idea to make it harder for a team to hold a gym for an excessive amount of time. However with this update there's zero chance I'm putting anything down anymore, that would just be a waste of resources. Niantic please fix this.

My heart will never recover from how disappointing and poorly put together this game is. It's been almost a year. Hackers run rampant globally, with very little done to stop them. The battle mechanics are loathsome and increasingly broken. The distance tracker registers about 1/5 of the distance, unless you're going above the speed of a gentle jog and then it's "screw you". It's essentially non functioning outside of downtown areas due to the excessive lack of Pokemon. Pokemon tracking is almost non existent. Their customer service is worse than any other company I've ever dealt with. Their sense of game development, community management, and any basic understanding of fun are non-existent. And I still play every day. Could you IMAGINE if a good game development company had made this?

I have always dreamed about something like this my whole life. It is so much fun for a nerd like me. It's amazing and I hope to play this game for years to come

I know the max for receiving poke coins in a twenty four hour period is 100 with the new gym revamp, but I had seven gyms and only collected 50 coins in 20 hours with only two gyms remaining. I understand that I will not receive all but I'm shy 50 coins. Needs to be fixed along with the wait time to add more than two or more players once a gym is taken over. The game is still worthy of me playing and will not stop. Keep up the good work but fix those minor issues so others don't have the same problems.
