I have many .MPG 125Gbt videos that need to be sent online to various points. Converting them to .MP4 format with "Video Converter" to a managable size for intermet travel was fast and easy.

This app claims to convert to webm and i've tried multiple videos everytime it fails.. So Glad I wasted $4.99 on the lifetime subscription!
  • I actually paid money for this?

This app claims to convert VOB's to MP4’s, when it clearly refuses to do so. I WANT MY STINKING $1.99 BACK!!
  • Short on features, but works okay

Be sure to note you’re not actually installing software when you purchase this. This is a web application that uploads your video file to a server for conversion and then downloads the converted file. This will be important if you’re on a less-than-stellar connection or paying for bandwidth. I’m blessed with a very fast connection, so the conversion was pretty good. It took just a couple minutes to convert a 55MB 1 minute .mov file to 5MB .webm format. I get the sense that converting a 10 minute clip with a bad connection will probably be a slow, painful process. It offers a good selection of file conversion formats, but no ability to change any settings within any of them. If you’re hoping to choose a frame rate, tweek the audio, or choose a compression level, this is not the software for you. At this price, however, it’s a good, cheap, option for a quick conversion from one format to another. I’d keep looking if you’re hoping to have a greater level of control or squeeze out the absolute best quality from your conversion. And for converting larger files on a slow Internet connection, you’re going to want installed software.
