HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK DRIVING TOUR The Tour accompanies you up to the summit of the Haleakala Volcanic Crater and back, stopping at all the best viewpoints and hikes along the way. Found this app extremely easy to use and very informative about the road to Hana. The use of the GPS was awesome. Talked with locals along the way that had not heard of the cave that was so cool located on side of highway. Would have never known about without the gps feature where the app informs u to pull over. Great tour guide!!!

The first couple of entries played just fine. Then it stopped completely. Couldn’t get any entries to play, either automatically or manually. The best I could do was follow along on the map and read the entries out loud for my family. Not exactly what you want to do while in the back seat on a trip that has 600 curves in the road. Really disappointed.

I purchased the Haleakalā crater tour and the R2H loop tour and they were super helpful in the journey. It was step by step directions with some stories, music and humor added in. I highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I used this app and their Oahu version on our recent Hawaiian trip! This was so great! We learned so much and feel like we had the perfect trip to Hana because of the app.

So glad we decided to get this App before our excursion!! We found stops we would not have otherwise encountered, got an excellent history lesson, and overall made for a wonderful experience!! Will diffidently use Shaka again!!

This app is a must have for driving the road to Hana. It is able to track your movements and keep up with you even without any cell service. The Shaka guy is a great narrator. He tells you all about possible stops, give you enough warning to make them safely and can adapt quickly if you skip a stop or take a detour. The stories were wonderful. All of the tour groups looked miserable, but we had one of the best days ever. We were so sad when he finally said goodbye after spending all day with him. We will be looking for more tours with him on the next leg of our trip.
  • A game changer

Second time for the trip. First time was before the app was around, and what a difference. The cheese factor is there but it goes perfect for the experience. We found and did things I couldn’t imagine doing without the guide. Cell phone service isn’t required. It works amazing and is very simple.

I don’t write reviews but this app deserves my time. I have used this app for a tour for the past 10 hours and it delivered exactly what it said it would. A lot of information delivered in a fun entertaining way. Felt like a personal tour. When the tour was over everyone on the car felt like we were saying good bye to a friend!
  • Classic Hana

We found this tape to be extremely helpful on our trip to Hana. It was very easy to follow and no car should be without one. It was like having the guide in the car without really being there. The ability to stop where we wanted to and then pick up where we left off on the tape was very interesting. The songs were a delight and the history of the islands was as fascinating as the trip itself. Mahalo!
