Pros: Fun game. Always update and keep it interesting Great graphics (compared to any cell phone game I’ve EVER played ) No glitches GREAT CUSTOMER SUPPORT Cons: *Not much to do between events *To have a chance at being powerful, you have to purchase gems, with cash. Rewards don’t refresh: daily dungeon, forge boss, etc * the rewards for events should contain more gems. *It’s impossible to get 5-15% on attack’s, if you don’t have 100mbps connection. Overall: the good definitely outweighs the bad.
  • Good game, but......

This is a very good game. It is very well designed and a lot of fun IF you have a big wallet. And I mean massive. I don’t mind paying for loot boxes and stuff, nor do I mind the tiered loot box system, but making higher tiers way way more expensive than the previous is a horrible strategy. On top of that, some of the things your paying for are useless! For example an extra roll on exp chance is 1$ (100 gems) and a dungeon key is 5$ (500 gems). They really need to balance stuff out in the payment system and reward their players for returning rather than gouge their customers for even touching the game. As a customer and player I don’t feel appreciated for my time and money.

Nothing but greedy developers always changing the game to try to deceive you to spend more money. This is a spend to play game. You won’t do well if you don’t put money in, and they know this. Even if you save up gems and use it for packs, you’ll always get duplicates. They recently updated it because of all the complaints to hide the number of duplicates you receive instead of actually fixing their algorithm.
  • Best game to play

I have spent thousands of dollars on this game. I know... dumb... mistake. Hear me out right now.. Play free to play and take at least 3+ years to get anywhere in the game.. go for it. GvG (guild vs guild) only competitive aspect of this game... is 100% trash. I heard guildmates timing out. When spending HOURS on an attack. They end up getting 0 kills. I spent no more than 50 minutes at most, timed out, upon a successful kill of first defender. I received 0 kills. Most important battle of the war. Last and would determine bastion shard crate reward or not. Their customer services takes over 3 days to respond to any genuine concerns or issues with game. The rating on this app you’re seeing now, was prior to developers getting more money hungry. I was fine with it until my GvG experience. Never felt so distraught spending my money on this game. Do not download this app. Deleted. Hope N3twork did well off my money. They get no more and I hope this review stops any other poor souls from investing. Stick to a physical card game. Can at least make SOME money back when you decide to opt out.

Pay to play. Simple as that. I’ve been playing for over a year. I threw money at the game once in a while and could still compete. Now you have to invest a small fortune to stay relevant. Done with it. If you have $100+ a week to burn, this is the game for you. 🙄

Update for 3/14/19: This last update is causing my phone to overheat. I can’t play without power saving mode on (which lags the game a bit) or my SE gets burning hot to the touch, even without a case on. Full Review: Legendary’s art is unique and awesome, and the transformation of a simple match 3 game into an RPG is incredibly addicting to play. These strengths are why, after over a year not playing, I have redownloaded it. It’s biggest weakness is that it is also ABSOLUTELY pay to win to a ludicrous degree, which is what caused me to become so frustrated and quit in the first place. I’m having fun with it again, but it requires the acceptance that I will not place well in events or get event enemy cards without spending money. I have spent money on this game in the past by both buying gems and getting a month or two of VIP ($30/month), but due to the broken monetization and power creep I will not be spending money on it again. Speaking of power creep, it is INSANE. Older cards very quickly become irrelevant, so you’re basically flushing money down the toilet to get event cards that will no longer be very good after a few weeks. Case in point: the cards I had that were top tier at the time I was spending money on the game are now 1/2 as effective the current event card. My favorite MAX level (70 out of 70) 6 star card is 1,451 power, and he was the main event hero of his event. The 6 star card I got from this very last event? She’s at 3,238 power at level 33 of 70, and isn’t even the main hero card of her event. Even if I acquired 5 duplicates of my favorite card, spent a TON of my time and resources getting all these copies to 6 stars, and then sacrificed them to awaken my favorite card the max number of times, he would only be at 2,902 power. That STILL doesn’t come close in effectiveness to a non-max level 6 star from recent events. It’s absolutely disgusting. All the people on my friends list from back then seem to have quit sometime around ~200 days ago, and I can definitely see why. Since I’m having fun with it, I’m staying F2P and accepting that I will never place high or win the event cards. I suggest to anyone picking this game up or coming back to it after so long to do the same as me; stay free to play, join a casual guild, save up gems from events, and splurge with the gems you got for free once in a while. I’ve personally gotten the most value out of the limited time packs that are 150 gems for Tier 1 and then 350 gems for Tier 2 with a 300 gem reimbursement, so 200g for at least 1 decent older card. They won’t be the most effective, but they’re cool looking and I personally love the older cards’ art more than the most recent cards’ art. Legendary is an amazing game that is crippled by some of the most extreme monetization methods I’ve ever encountered in a mobile game, but there’s nothing that really can compete aesthetically and gameplay-wise with it so I must continue to play it if I want a game like it.
  • So much potential

This game is incredibly expensive. Sure you can play for free...but to progress at all takes a big chunk out of your wallet. Oh and I should mention their shady bait tactics and largely vague descriptions. This game has a lot of potential but unfortunately all they want is for you to spend an outrageous amount of money without delivering enough in return.
