Don’t understand why we can’t crop pictures when we add them to a note? This app’s bugs outweigh the usefulness. Thumbs down for this one
  • Customizable and Simple

I’ve been using this app since it launched around 2012 or 2013 and it’s been very helpful for me and easy to continue and customize for my needs. They’ve added some nice features along the way as well. One thing that would really take it to the next level for me is having a dark mode for drawings/written notes. Right now even if the app is in dark mode, if I open a drawing it will always be a white background. The Apple notes app has a dark background available so I’m sure it would be achievable by Google! I really hope this can be! 🙏🏻
  • Maybe Google devs will actually read this!

Completely unacceptable performance (lag, random crashing, non-responsiveness, etc). Horrible, awful, atrocious experience on iPad/iOS. Meanwhile, on Android, it’s near flawless. Google, will you PLEASE FIX THIS APP on iOS?
  • Slow to start; bad with multiple accounts

Freezes first ten seconds or so when I start it. Lately it freezes when I share to it from Safari, to where I have to force-quit and restart Safari. Takes a long time to be useful if you have a non-trivial number of notes, especially on a slow (e.g., LTE) connection, and often changes the default account on you if you have multiple accounts, so you have to be on your toes. With multiple accounts, it likes to default to a Google account I’ve never used with Keep before, so I keep having to switch accounts before doing anything, including saving from another app. I’m pretty much resigned to using other apps for saving notes.
  • Add dark mode support

Or I’m switching to a different app. It’s pathetic that a dev as large as google can’t release feature updates in a timely manner.
  • Pretty good, one thing to add

This app is great for grocery lists, i use it all the time. If you have too many items it can get laggy. The one thing i want with it is to be able to say “hey Siri, add cucumbers to google keep!” That would be really great.

It keeps asking me to refresh. When I click refresh button, app just hangs.

Best notes app by far because of its backing up and organization and such. But all I need it dark mode! Please!

I have been using keep for years but about six months ago it started giving me problems. I can save a note but then Keep freezes and I have to force quit. Every time. I've tried deleting and reinstalling but I'm still having issues. I have an iPhone 10 and the latest downloads of my OS and Keep so it must be the app.
  • No, not sophisticated. But fast. Notes.

Not sophisticated: I wish it could scan a credit card receipt and OCR-translate it into a note. (Dream on, pard.) Takes a moment to get to know it. Me? Took a moment to get it to write a note without the danged checkmarks. Took awhile to know that setting one reminder is the only way you’ll ever be prompted to “allow notifications”. (Else those settings don’t appear.) Okay. But two folders. What’s archived, and what’s not. Fine by me. And best of all? This little sucker’s fast. Pops right up, right now, ready to take a note. THAT’s what I need. I have two other note-taker apps with various degrees of sophistication. Each has its place. But for a quickie, on the spot, in spite of the Gorg spying on me and assimilating my notes, since I have a Gmail account, why not? And if Google gets rid of it like Google got rid of its Notebooks many years ago? No big deal. I’ve got 4 outs (including 2 notes apps) waiting in the wings this time. So there.
