  • Great app and service

Only have one issue with the app right now. I frequently have to approve or categorize imported transactions twice; the first time doesn’t register
  • Fantastic App

    Awesome Awesome Awesome
  • Easy budget management on the go

    By hd711
Well designed, simple to use. A very functional app that works alongside the web app beautifully. I especially like that when you enter a transaction it shows a brief pop up of the overall amount available from that category and shows the number change based on the transaction you just entered.
  • Best budgeting software!!!

    By RyanStevens
I’ve used almost every budget software / website out there over the years and YBAB is by far the best. It has the best concept of allocating money from income, forcing you to deal with your budget when categories go negative, and allows you to pull together all your financial institutions into one place. I realize many other companies have the same features, YNAB simply does it better and things just work.
  • Can't get it in portrait mode

    By Lumenite808
Love the app, just bummed that I can't get it to rotate into portrait mode on my iPad.
  • Wrong Bank URL and Broken Trblshooting links

    By J-Dash
Tried to sign up using account at local credit union, found the credit union, placed credentials to discover they have the WRONG URL. I submitted my banking credentials using this app to an incorrect URL. I then went their account setup troubleshooting page where I found broken links. Contacted support team, who reassured me that they would respond within a few HOURS, after sending my credentials to an outdated/incorrect URL. I'm sure the method works, but with broken links and incorrect links to financial institutions I would NOT reccomend this app.
  • Immense disappointment

    By laceandpaperflowers
I desperately needed to get a handle on my budget, after reading the reviews I thought his might be it. I even justified paying $6.99 a month because it was supposed to help. Only it didn’t. It’s not very user friendly, it doesn’t sync with my checking account as it’s supposed to, not to mention, after my first month of paying 6.99, I was charged $92 for the following month. This was not what I budgeted for, considering I am trying to get a handle on my budget a nearly $100 charge is a big hit to my budget. I canceled the service immediately. I’ll be researching other services that are better suited for me and affordable.
  • Great app with a few needed improvements

    By PenguinShuffle
I love YNAB, it saves me a huge amount of time compared to using an excel spreadsheet to budget. There is one bug that’s annoying: 1. When I try to click a budget item, say groceries, it actually goes to the line above. Doesn’t happen all the time, but quite annoying. A couple enhancements would make the app better: 1. I’d love to see a calculator when adding how much to budget for each category. I’m often trying to sum and divide by months. For instance I know I have Netflix every month, but have amazon prime due in 6 months. I need to calculate how much to save every month. 2. The syncing with the bank accounts works great but I don’t like that it takes so long. It’s never clear if it’s actually in the process of pulling in information. I can refresh the page, but it’s often minutes before new information is displayed. If there are no updates I’m left waiting for 5 minutes to decide whether it’s done syncing or not. 3. I want a feature to be able to do a quick budget and pick the amount I need to budget if I’ve overspent. If I’ve budgeted $50 so far, but I’m $10 over, I want the quick budget to give me the option to budget $60 instead of me having to calculate it. Easy for this example but less so when the numbers are not even.
  • Life-changing

    By Cap10morgan
“Life-changing” is a cliche at this point, but it is literally true for this app & service. Beyond just the app, if you learn the system and really incorporate it into your life, financial stress will turn into optimism. I can’t overstate how huge that is.
  • How did I save $ already?

    By functioncreep
It’s been only one month and money is saved, bills are paid on time and my husband no longer panics at certain times of the month. We don’t transfer savings to cover our checking anymore. I assume it’s more of us that he app but I can’t complain at how VISIBLE the app makes every penny. Even my savings account has a budget to allocate for summer camp and Xmas and the ever-elusive 3 month emergency funds. Basically it makes you face your realities. Like when your food budget is as high as your mortgage you need to learn couponing. That was a big shocker and required a whole new kind of budgeting.
